        This panel shows a collection of embroidered plant slips of orchid, bamboo and butterflies on a black satin base, all meant to be cut out later and applied to other grounds as appliqu, mostly for border decorations. Consideration was given to color variety and easy matching as the design and shape of the individual patterns are kept the same but colors vary from one another. (XY)
