Paired animals were weaved on the light brown ground among the hexagonal tortoiseshell framework with brown, blue and green weft threads. Cotton thread has been replaced by long silk thread for warps and wefts, and several similar textiles dating to 6th century or so have been found in Astana of Turfan, Xinjiang.
