This is a wrap-over robe with a stand-up collar and half-length sleeves. It has a warp-over front panel diagonally tied to the right and side slits. The material is a velvet georgette. The deep-green ground carries a clam-resist dyeing design of cream-white foliage. This type of industrially manufactured textile was distinguished by dazzling colors, which were popular during that period. The lining is of white silk. A monochrome deep-green border runs along the collar, cuff, hem and front panel edges. The role has green flower-like decorative fastenings matching the robe color. (XZ)
