Pants like this one were usually worn under a skirt or Manchurian dress by females during the Qing Dynasty. Working women and housewives also wore such pants at home. This item in self-figured satin damask in purple has bamboo and floral motifs, a wide grouch, embroidered designs and lined bands of decorative cords at the bottom of the legs. (XY)
