A figured silk damask in purple with ball-shaped patterns, the panels of this horse-face skirt are outlined in several layers of border stitches. The strip of hem in blue satin at the bottom has fine pleats while the waist band on top is finished with a white cotton material. The choice of the color white customarily signifies a wish for a marriage to “end up together in white hair”. (XY)
