Key Scientific Research Base of Textile Conservation was approved to establish by State Administration of Cultural Heritage in October 2010, for textile conservation research. There are four core areas, including analyzing and testing lab,protection technology lab, conservation technology lab, and traditionaltechnology lab.

NSM can provide those textile conservation service such as textile restoring, loom model replication, silk identification, conservation material research.
